Services
All our dentists adhere to the rules governing the profession under strict guidance from the General Dental Council (GDC) "Standards for Dental Professionals". Dr Sojitra was educated in London, and then studied further at Birmingham University gaining her qualification of Batchelor of Dental Surgery in the year 2000.
We can help you whether your visit is to help maintain your teeth, improve your smile or if you have a dental emergency. We welcome new NHS and private patients all year round and offer a full range of NHS and cosmetic dental treatments for the entire family. We accept both fee paying patients and patients that are exempt from NHS charges.
We are located in Barking town centre next door to the Lemonade building and opposite Vicarage Fields (car park) entrance at Ripple Road. If you are arriving from Barking Station, turn left at Barclays Bank and we are located on the right hand side. Buses running close to the practice are EL1 and EL2 which stop at the Police Station.
We are always looking for ways to improve our services and ensure you have the best possible experience with us. You can help us get it right by telling us what you think of the service delivered by us. We welcome your feedback and would be delighted if you are happy with our service that you recommend us to your friends and family.
We will provide you with a written individual treatment plan and transparent, written treatment costs. NHS treatment is categorised into three bands. Charges apply to courses of treatment rather than each individual item or visit. Additional treatment is provided cost free if it is in the same band (or less) and within two months of completing a course of treatment.

Hi I have given Abbey Dental practice 5 Star's because they are fantastic . My husband had a appointment the other day, he's not a fan of dentist's!! as a result he's not been for years. He's dentist was very patient with him and gave him time to try and relax while she tried to fix his broken tooth. The practice is very clean, staff are very helpful and friendly, it's not easy to get a appointment as there books and always full but if you do manage to get in,then you are going to get the best treatment.

I went to the dentist for a routine check up. The surgery's Covid 19 measures are fantastic. I felt very safe. Unfortunately, I also had to have a tooth extracted. The dentist made me feel very safe and the extraction was painless. Overall, a very positive experience
I recently visited this practice for a routine check up. The Covid safety protocols are excellent. There is a temp check and hand sanitiser is given. I called 111 for an emergency appointment. The receptionist did not read why I was referred and refused to make an appointment after I told her why I called 111 due to my circumstances then lied that I was the one refusing treatment even though I could not eat or drink anything because of the pain. I had to call 111 and the nurse had to speak to their manager to sort it out and finally booked an appointment but the person seeing me, Racheal O'Flaherty refused to treat me, telling me that my problem cannot be fixed and that I should book another appointment despite being overall aware of my issue

I've been going to this dental practise for 10+ years. My new dentist is a miracle worker - not only, like many am I not very fond of dentist but the past few visits have made me like visiting the dentist - which I real positive for me! She's friendly, supportive, and approachable. She approaches problems with solutions and has done an amazing job on a nearly impossible Root Canal Treatment. To the extent I've been going around showing everyone my teeth - and I can't stop smiling.

For the first time in my life I called 111 for emergency dental treatment. I was referred to Abbey Dental in Barking.
I have to say that the process was 100% excellent. What a fantastic service, the staff were great, very helpful and the dentist was simply professional and amazing.

Worst experience ever. I would give 0 stars if I could. Arrived at the appointment just 5 minutes later and I was told that the doctor is on lunch and to come back in 2 hours. So, the doctor was having lunch break during my appointment... Came back after almost 2 hours and the doctor told me she cannot do anything, she cannot remove my teeth (she said she can try, but she is not sure) , she can not put a filling and she cannot give me painkiller. I was there for 5-10 minutes just to be told that she can book me in 3 weeks for a clinic to remove my teeth. Also, they charge me for the consultation

The reception staff are amazing and make you feel at ease as soon as you walk in. The surgery was spotless with constant cleaning happening really above and beyond ppe. My dentist was so kind, and gave really detailed explanations, informed me of my options in such a compassionate manner and treated me in such a efficient way. Really grateful to this place for seeing me as an emergency client, couldn't recommend more.
