Colin is an excellent instructor. I came late to driving and wanted to learn relatively quickly in time for the birth of my first child and passed with about six weeks to spare! It’s an understatement to say it wouldn’t have been possible without his guidance. He tells you exactly what it is you are doing wrong, and how to rectify those errors. This prepared me for both the test, but also a lifetime of safe driving. He does this all whilst keeping you laughing – which is sometimes as important! I passed first time, and Colin was just one minor off predicting my score (I got 6). Not bad at

Colin has been the driving instructor I hoped for and more. I found the driving school at short notice with a test imminent and he met the challenge without any issues and got me test-ready in no time. He found out where I was in my driving ability and worked hard to build my skills and confidence without it seeming overwhelming. Friendly, good-natured and an incredibly experienced instructor, I very much think you’re in safe hands that can get you to a pass with ease. The car we were driving in, and that I took to test, was pretty neat and easy to handle too :)

I chose Colin because the reviewers recommended him and it was the biggest mistake I ever did. I’d never driven before these lessons with him and he was the most awful instructor ever. He would shout at me, physically push me at junctions to show me I needed to ‘look closer’, and he was the most impatient instructor ever. I bloody hated driving because of him. Would not recommend him at all, I am literally traumatised.
