Mark and Elaine Carter are the proud new owners of New Garage Harnham, they are working to make it into Salibsurys top Auto Service Centre. They have owned Tisbury Motors for close to 20 years and Mark is a Member of the Institute of the motor industry. He is an Advanced Automotive Engineer. With multiple MOT testers and technicians they are able to take car of not just your MOT testing but any repairs and servicing needs your vehicle may have.
Here at New Garage Harnham we do diagnostics for most makes and models but specialize in VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, BMW, Mercedes and Smart cars. All our technicians are qualified to work on air conditioning and regas among other things. We offer more than a simple oil change, we actually check all the essential items in your vehicle.
If you are looking for a Salisbury MOT Center we are here to help. The MOT test was introduced in 1960 and since it's inception there have been many changes to exactly what is checked. This is why we make sure that our MOT Testers are among the best trained in the industry. Having the right training and the latest technology allows us to ensure that your vehicle testing process goes as smoothly as possible.
There is a good chance your car has air conditioning and to keep it working efficiently you need to have it serviced regularly. Over time many air con systems will lose gas, this doesn't mean they are irrevocably broken, it just means they need some new gas put in. All our staff are trained and have the qualifications to allow them to regas any vehicles air conditioning system.
The roads we all drive on have not kept up and driving over all the bumps and through the pot holes, which seem to multiply daily, can ruin your cars alignment. This means your tires and every part of the steering is being used and worn in a way that it was never designed for. Your tires are wearing out faster and your steering is taking unnecessary wear.

Went here for an issue with my DPF. They found the fault and explained what it was and how to avoid it in the future. They weren't pushy with trying to sell me a fix which for me is a HUGE plus. So much so I have my car booked in for its MOT and service soon and will continue to use them going forward.

Fitted us in at short notice despite being booked up and short on staff due to holidays. We we kept constantly updated as to the progress. The problem was investigated, diagnosed and fixed swiftly and at a very reasonable cost considering the quality of the service.
Will be recommending to my family and friends who live in Salisbury.

I recently took my car in with a variety of issues including a failed starter motor and a broken rear passenger side suspension coil spring. After the initial diagnostic work, I received a call confirming my suspicion that the coil spring was broken, but also advising me that driver side coil spring was corroded in the same place the passenger side spring had broken and would also need replacing. This information was alarming to me as I had paid to have a new coil spring fitted on the driver’s side at a different garage when it had broken just a few weeks previously; to my mind, either the original

I have been using new garage now for the last 3 years and I instantly warmed to Elaine as came across as really genuine and so nice as a lady to go to a garage that is usually a male dominated industry. I felt they were a transparent business and being a nhs worker I get 10% discount with the option of a curtesy car if available (even better) Steve who I speak to regarding any works is a super chap too, very easy to deal with.

Biggest life savers in the area, for the second time this garage saved me thousands. I first approached them after westover Nissan refused to honor their warranty on my wife's juke, Mark and his team fixed the vehicle at almost half the price of the main dealer rip offs.
The second time again I took an astronomical quote from westover nissan to the team, once again they put a smile on my face. speedy professionalism doesn't do the garage and team justice.

My renault developed a gearbox issue just as work picked up, within 2 days I had a gearbox sourced and fitted by the team at new garage which I thought would be impossible when they told me but they stayed true to their word. Amazing family style service was very welcoming in the age of lockdowns

Avoid this garage for MOT. I was new to the area and I was swayed by the relatively good reviews on Google. However I had a very similar experience to some of the worst reviews on this page.
The MOT itself was highly accurate, flagging up many things that I had never had problems with before at my old mechanic. Fair enough. I got the repairs done by another company because it worked out much cheaper and quicker.
I took the car back for a re-MOT. The two receptionists were lovely. However there was another person who worked there who shouted at me, patronised me and charged me 20 quid to clean
