Start laying along a straight side of the lawn (if the site slopes, lay across the slope not down it). Never stretch the turf. Always push the turf into the joints ensuring these are butted together tightly (if there is a gap, fill with a soil/sand mix and gently tamp down). Use a sharp knife or half-moon spade to cut the end of rows.
Repeatedly water for the first fortnight (if no rainfall), and until the turf is well established. When the turf is well established weekly watering during during dry spells should suffice. Mow as soon as it is long enough. For the first cut mow longer than you usually would, then in subsequent cuts get progressively shorter until desired height is achieved (about 1 inch/25 mm).

Our turf is hard-wearing sports and amenity grass, and ideal for home lawns, especially if you've got children running about the place! Our rolls are approx 40cm (16 inches) wide x 2.5 metres (98 inches) long and 1.25 cm (0.5 inches) deep.
For commercial customers and large areas we provide large rolls, which can be machine laid. This gives a better finish less joins in your turf and less work for you. As well as standard rolls (Approx 40cm (16 inches) wide x 2.5 metres (98 inches) long and 1.25 cm (0.5 inches) deep), we offer large rolls (appox 1 metre x 15 metre) for larger areas.
Topsoil is the outermost layer of the soil. It tends to be comprised of the 10-20cm (2-4 inches) in depth. This top layer of soil has high concentrations of microorganisms and organic matter which provides optimum conditions for plants to take root. We offer same day delivery in most instances (depending on amount and location), contact us to find out more.
