Principal Dentist Dr John Joyce has built a team of skilled clinicians and efficient support staff, dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care and life-enhancing cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Although we deliver our services within an ultra-modern setting, using advanced equipment and the very latest techniques, we have managed to retain a wonderfully friendly and welcoming atmosphere - and it's been that way for over 50 years!
Our aim is to continue to offer great dentistry, with added comfort and friendliness, for many years to come. We wish Lois all the best and congratulate her on her selection for the Hygienist undergraduate training course at Southend University.

Services
Our friendly staff take a personal approach to your care. As well as treating you with courtesy and respect, they also take time to get to know you. Since the practice was established in 1963, local families have benefitted from a comforting continuity of care. Dr John Joyce is the lead clinician and has run the practice since 1992 when there was a managed transition from his father, Don.
Ross began a career in dentistry in 1994. She qualified the same year as a Registered Dental Nurse. Her career development comprised of Certificate in Radiography with Kodak Prize of best clinical case presentation and Certificate of Merit in Oral Health Education. Ross has since taken many Post-Graduate Certificates including extended duties to include administration of Local Anaesthetics.
Janis has been in dentistry for almost 50 years, the last 47 (as of 2018) with Hockley Dental Surgery. Part of her various duties includes maintaining a high standard of clinical excellence among the staff. This ensures all team members maintain the highest standard of cross-infection and health and safety for all our patients, who are our first priority.
Whether you are new to the area or simply looking for better quality dental care, we would love to meet you. We are always pleased to welcome new patients to our practice and are happy to accommodate adults and children alike. For the convenience of our patients appointments are on offer across a wide time-frame through the week.
As well as regularly visiting your dentist, hygiene appointments should also be an essential part of your dental care. Hygienists are qualified members of the dental team who focus on preventing and treating gum disease by promoting good oral hygiene. Gum disease causes inflammation of the tissue that surrounds teeth and, if not treated, it can lead to recession of the gums.

Everyone is always friendly and professional. The receptionists are very welcoming and efficient. Julie keeps teeth and gums in great shape and it comes with a free shower. John examines everything thoroughly. Roof of mouth, tongue and glands too.He will not recommend procedures unless absolutely necessary. A great Dental Practice.
