Colin and Annie Caruth formally of Caruth Auto's took over Jordanhill Garage and Broomhill Exhausts in 2007. Colin has been in the motor trade since 1978 and over the years has gained knowledge of all types of vehicles. The biggest change over the years has been in diagnostics where Caruth are leaders in the field in the Central Belt of Scotland.
If your car is more than three years old, an annual MOT check is a legal requirement to ensure it's roadworthy. This can seem like just another expense, but an MOT can help reveal potential problems that could affect the safety of your car further down the line. Plus failure to have a valid MOT makes your car illegal to drive (unless you're on the way to get it tested), and it usually invalidates your insurance.
At Caruth Jordanhill we believe that your car servicing should be value for money, hassle free and as convenient as possible for you. With a number of years experience you can be confident that your vehicle is in competent hands. We are a local garage and are able to provide servicing for a wide range of vehicles from the latest Mercedes and BMW's to classic Morris Minors.
Cars are now more than likely to be scrapped due to expensive electronic parts than the corrosion of the past. Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality
Happy with the service, however only given 4 stars as I feel £60 for wheel alignment is a bit expensive compared with other companies in the area. Staff were friendly, service was quick and problems were solved. Overall a good experience.

Brilliant service! Brought my car in to have the central locking fixed and it was done within a few hours and for a very reasonable price. Plus, when I picked up my car it had been cleaned (which, let me tell you, was sorely needed and really the cleaning must have been a feat of its own...). Would definitely recommend.

Friendly and efficient. My car failed it’s MOT at a nearby chain outlet who couldn’t fix the problem. I asked Carruth to sort it and they stepped in promptly, fixed the fault , took the car round to the chain to get its fail converted to a pass, brought it back and called me to collect. They do MOTs as well and I should have gone to them in the first place. I’ll know next time. Cost seemed fair. I’m a satisfied customer.

Excellent customer service, advice and honest care from this garage.
I recently bought a used car only to find out 2.5 months later that there were multiple dangerous faults with it. I had taken it into Caruth Jordanhill to check the brakes and they returned a full report of dangerous issues that were in need of repair to make this car safe to drive again.
However, where they could have easily just sent me the quote and made over a grand off me, they've instead told me to take it back to the dealership as it will more than likely to just continue developing faults and only charged for the diagnosis

AVOID. Huge, unnecessary bills over the years because I didn't know any better. Final straw came when the emergency brake light came on permanently and they quoted me £400+(!) along with the usual half-hour justification of why the work was needed, promise guv'. I took my car to Byres Road Garage instead and they fixed it for 50 quid. Just a faulty sensor. Been a happy customer of theirs ever since. Guys, don't be a mug – there's a far better garage down the road than The Caruth Wild West Cowboy Show.

Been using Caruth garage for many a year. Even when the garage moved from Whiteinch to Jordanhill.I took my custom with them .I am a taxi driver and rely on my car for keeping the pennies coming in ..Have found over the years the service they provide is quick. reliable and cost-effective. .This being a major factor for me in choosing a garage because of my job ..The staff are easy to deal with and I would have know problems recommending Caruth Jordanhill to others ..
