The best meal I've ever eaten!! We had the tasting menu and it was exquisite, the combination of flavours were delicious and very well thought out. Every dish was well presented. The service was excellent with each dish explained and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be visiting again. Michelin star quality.

Looking through the reviews I’m beginning to think we missed something. Perhaps we caught them on the wrong day. Overall the food is good quality however 80% of our dishes on the tasting menu were fish based which was a bit much, especially when they’re cold. A lot of the ingredients were involved in a number of dishes which did detract from the concept of a tasting menu as a lot of the flavours blended across the dishes. We didn’t enjoy the caviar or the foam which appeared in a number of dishes.

Just a fantastic experience from start to finish. My wife and I have wanted to visit for nearly two years now and we both went for the tasting menu. Standouts for us were the plaice dish and the fermented oyster. The sourdough with marmite butter is fantastic. Special mention for our main server Claudia who was a credit to Heaneys. We'll be back next time we are in Cardiff.
