Services
We provide a pick up service for your lessons. If you are out of these areas, you can come to our main office and start the lessons from there. Car training for a person between the ages of 17 to 25, usually takes 25 hours of training to be fully prepared for the practical test. We recommend that a person takes 1 or 2 hours of lessons a week, this way good progress can be achieved.
We have modern air conditioned class rooms fitted with up to date computers and theory and hazard perception test with a tutor to help you. The Car theory test requires you to get 43 out of 50 in the multiple choice section and 44 out of 50 for the hazard perception. Theory test for lorry and coach requires the candidate to answer 100 question and the candidate needs to have 85 correct.
Q: Can a person at the age of 16 years old learn to drive? A: Yes if the person is getting Disability Living Allowance (mobility component) at a higher rate but in all other cases the person has to be 17 years old. Q: Where do I get the D1 form for the DVLA booklet 1NFID? A: They are available from your local post office, direct from the DVLA office, from our office or other major driving organisation.
Obtain your theory test package from us. This will include a current DSA theory book, a theory test on CD and hazard perception CD. Once the application is made you should start to study for the theory test. Usually it takes approximately 10 days to process your provisional application. By the time your provisional license is back, you will be ready to book your theory test.
Practical training for all the above categories are the same. The government has set a syllabus which has to be followed. The Driving Standards Agency DSA has published a book which contains the syllabus. This book is called "The official DSA guide to Driving Buses and Coaches or Large Goods Vehicles" and is available from us and leading book shops.
