Each of our Driving Instructors is as committed to you passing your driving test as you are and will ensure that their teaching methods match your growing confidence as you progress. Michael is a highly experienced ORDIT registered DVSA (Driving Vehicle Standards Agency) approved Driving Instructor. Having previously worked as an instructor in Colchester for a large, nationally-known driving school, he started his own company, Nayland Driving School, 10 years ago to cater for local pupils.
I was taught by Geoff for about 2 months and I went to my test and passed the first time with this company and I would highly recommend Geoff and the company ad he teaches really well, he ensures that you end up being a driver and not a learner and i felt that is a really respectable quality when it comes to a teacher.
Nayland Driving School are a leading UK Driving School, offering first-class driving lessons to those looking to gain their independence behind the wheel. Many of the Nayland Driving School driving instructors train directly with us, and all of them are highly qualified. We understand the importance of patience for our new learners - who may need a little time to build up confidence in the driving seat.
48 hours notice of cancellation must be given or the lesson will be charged at the instructors discretion. If you wish to pre-pay for any driving lessons, we must stress the agreement is with you and your driving instructor and not with the driving school itself. The driving school cannot not be held responsible for electrical or mechanical breakdown faults occurring during any driving lesson or driving test.
If you need to pass your driving test in a hurry, then our intensive driving courses will offer you the perfect opportunity to do so. An intensive driving course is really useful for a number of reasons. Perhaps you need to pass your test as quickly and safely as possible because of a new job, or find yourself needing a driving licence suddenly.

It is hard to leave a poor review, but feel we have been left with no alternative. Firstly, our son had Michael as his tutor and passed with him with no issues (very straight forward, very happy with service).
Today we have been let down by the tutor Suzie who my daughter has used since May this year. We feel we have been open with communication and feel we have not messed her about.Tonight she has informed us that it would be best for us to look somewhere else as we querried about why we had to pay for tuition when my daughter was not well at all this morning with raging tonsillitis. I would recommend Sally to anyone who is looking to drive. She is incredibly friendly and patient. Very dedicated and easy to get along with. She made me feel safe when I was first learning and was reassuring and honest. When I passed my test I passed with 0 minors which highlights how her teaching payed off.

I started my lessons with Sally in April 2021, passed my theory test in July 2021 and passed my practical test today! She supported me every single lesson, patiently listening to my concerns and adapting to my needs. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Sally is an extremely patient and considerate driving instructor. She is informative and strives to fill any gaps in your driving knowledge. I was nervous to drive again after having lessons six years before, but Sally made me feel confident in my ability so quickly with continuous support in all areas of learning. She is also so friendly and approachable. I would highly recommend Sally and Nayland Driving School!

Michael and Geoff have been amazing instructor trainers. They have provided me with an immense amount of support throughout this awful pandemic. Extremely patient and always available to help. Came up with some brilliant ideas to tailor the training to meet my needs. I have now passed my instructor training and am fully qualified thanks to the team here at Nayland Driving School! I can't thank Michael enough for all the time and effort he has put in to help me through my part 2 and part 3 training. Even through the pandemic he would arrange zoom calls for everyone to join and still continue to help us train. Today I've passed my final exam and I couldn't of done it without him.

I did most of my Driving Instructor training with Nayland (Michael and Geoff) and passed my part 3 first time. They are both friendly and experienced ORDIT qualified trainers who I would highly recommend. I did it all on a ‘pay as you go’ basis as I didn’t want to be tied in and wanted to train at my own pace alongside a part time job.

Would recommend this company to anyone. I am currently learning to drive with Jusna, as a very nervous person on the road I feel she has done an amazing job helping me to gain my confidence. She is very positive and supportive every lesson and has been extremely patient. I have never felt pushed or rushed, you can take it at your own pace whilst also being nuged a little in order to build on every lesson. They are able to work around your schedule and ensure any goals you want to achieve every week are met.
