Services
The staff here are always happy and go out of their way to help you with anything you need. I have never been keen on seeing the hygienist in the past as I have had some bad experiences in the past but when I saw Joanne I was pleasantly surprised. She is really gentle and friendly. I don't mind going now!
In this practice we take complaints very seriously indeed and try to ensure that all patients are pleased with their experience of our service. When patients complain, they are dealt with courteously and promptly so that the matter is resolved as quickly as possible. This procedure is based on these objectives.
If you have had a tooth extraction please follow the below advice to help to socket heal quickly and to reduce the chance of any post extraction infections. Do not rinse your mouth at all for the first 24 hours, as this may disturb the blood clot in the socket. If the socket does bleed, sit upright in a chair and use one of the packs provide or a clean cloth or handkerchief (do not use paper) and bite firmly or squeeze firmly down on the socket.
The practice keeps records of your name, address, date of birth and details of any health problems as well as details of your dental treatment and details about your family. We keep this information so that we can provide you with the best dental care. Your personal information is kept very confidentially and securely.
Clinical records made by dentists and other dental care professionals involved with your care and treatment. We need to keep accurate personal data about patients in order to provide you with safe and appropriate dental care. We also need to process personal data about you if we are providing care under NHS arrangements and to ensure the proper management and administration of the NHS.

I’ve never been keen on going to the dentist, like most people really. I’ve never had anything major done, but just feel like it’s very clinical, but at Buxton Dental practice, it’s like walking into someone’s home, the warm welcome makes you feel instantly at ease. The dentists go out there way to comfort you and talk to you throughout your treatment which made me totally relax.
The reception team are very accommodating and will make sure they get you an appointment at your convenience.
I live in Macclesfield but will always travel over to Buxton to receive amazing service. Thankyou

I have been a loyal, paying privately, patient of this practice since David established it.
BUT... The new owners have aspirations to become more than a local dental practice. A practice takes care of the mundane and deals with low level issues sensitively, kids and OAP's via the NHS.
NOT BUXTON DENTAL PRACTICE. They are morphing into what appears to be a Californian good looks clinic.. Implants and and braces were the way forward suggested to me. NO THANK YOU , I just need a filling thanks, I paid over £160 pounds for a ten minute visit.
I have been told that BDP no longer supports NHS needs
