The name 'Greenheart' came about when, shortly after completing his apprenticeship Stephen's father gave him a wooden mallet made of Greenheart that he had made when he was a young man. Greenheart wood (Chlorocardium rodiei) is one of the hardest woods available famous for its maritime applications and use during dock building; Stephen has always treasured this simple yet very effective tool.

Griffith he decided to pursue his love for Art and Design with his father.

As one of Wales' most experienced and respected luxury kitchen manufacturers- Greenheart Kitchens Ltd. of Cardiff has completed a vast array of individually tailored solid-wood kitchen cabinetry in the South Wales for over twenty years. We have recently developed an online catalogue of Kitchen cupboards and appliances in order to gradually expand our operations out of Wales to Bristol, Bath and beyond.
Greenheart's Shaker kitchen range is all in-frame and handmade using both the finest timbers and superior components. We use solid hardwood fronts which are kiln dried to ensure stability. Our carcasses are made out of 100% solid wood which is FSC or PEFC certified. When choosing the materials we wanted to ensure that the cabinets would be extremely strong, durable and long lasting.
Our Showroom is based in Cardiff. We pride ourselves on our sense of local community, integrity and traditional values. All our kitchens are manufactured in Wales and you can see our Welsh craftsmen hand making furniture from our showroom. All our cabinets come fully assembled to make it as easy as possible to fit.

I love the attention to detail involved in producing a handmade design. I even saw the tree that the French oak cabinetry was made from at Steve's workshop. He explained what he was going to do at each stage - how many people can say they've been involved that closely with their kitchen design It makes it all the more special.

I bought a small to medium size kitchen from Greenheart Kitchens. The build quality is second to none. Real wood cabinets - no chipboard in sight. I didn't like the split doors that you get with mass manufactured kitchens on tall cupboards but that wasn't a problem for Greenheart Kitchens. I have a tall broom cupboard with a one piece door.
The owner Steve is very friendly and accommodating . If you want something out of the ordinary then he's the man for the job. Made in Cardiff from scratch. Brilliant!
