Whitelee Holiday Cottages
A warm welcome awaits you when you visit Whitelee Holiday Cottages. Located in the stunning countryside of the Northumberland National Park, overlooking Whitelee Fell National Nature Reserve and close to the beautiful Scottish Borders, the three cosy cottages offer well-equipped, 4-star accommodation and the added attraction of CCTV wildlife cameras.

You might be disturbed by the noise (of the birds), or woken by the bright lights (of the stars), otherwise it's the perfect location for chilling-out - and for sight-seeing. Rowan is a detached, single-storey, self-catering holiday cottage set in its own garden and with parking for two cars. Facing south it has spectacular views over Whitelee Fell National Nature Reserve.

These 4-star, self-catering holiday cottages in Northumberland are in the perfect location to explore the many attractions of both this beautiful county and the Scottish Borders.

It is a land of castles, ruined abbeys and fine houses and gardens: Alnwick, Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh castles are amongst the finest; the Border towns of Jedburgh and Melrose have impressive ruined abbeys; and National Trust properties Cragside House and Wallington Hall are within easy reach. The Holy Isle of Lindisfarne is a must-visit (check the tide times).
Should you have any questions, check out the list below. Most of the common questions we receive are answered here; however, if there is anything else that you need to know, please do give us a call (01830 520530), or drop us an email (info@whiteleecottages.co.uk). Do you take more than one pet? Yes, we find that pet owners are very careful and we have had very few problems.
Apart from all the varied bird-life around these self-catering cottages, CCTV cameras positioned around the farm carry live images to each TV. With cameras on the outside and inside of a barn owl nest box you'll see the resident barn owls and, at the right time of year, can even watch them raise their chicks.
Whitelee farmhouse in Northumberland was originally a coaching inn and still has the old coach house and stables attached. Around 1898, Catcleugh Reservoir was created to provide fresh drinking water to Tyneside where cholera had become a problem. The farm was bought by the Water Board and the inn closed to avoid pollution.
To book your self-catering holiday cottage, or if you have any queries, please give us a call on 01830 520 530, or email us on info@whiteleecottages.co.uk. We'd be delighted to hear from you. We offer 2, 3 and 4-night short breaks most of the year, and where we can be, we're flexible about start days.
