The company was originally set up in 1879 and is wholly owned by the General Trustees of the Church of Scotland. Our aim is to be a centre of excellence on insurance matters for those within the Church of Scotland (COS). We provide advice and guidance to Congregations regarding insurance and risk management and the arrangement of insurance cover under a specially tailored Church Insurance Scheme.
We also provide advice and guidance to other associated bodies of the Church and Home insurance for Ministers and Members of the Congregation. In addition we also assist and advise other charitable and not for profit organisations to arrange insurance protection.

Services
The Church of Scotland Insurance Services Ltd has developed in conjunction with a small number of insurance partners a dedicated church insurance scheme to meet the needs of Congregations in Scotland. Cover can also be provided under the Scheme for other associated bodies of the Church of Scotland (COS) and for individuals within the Church.
We are able to arrange home insurance designed to meet your needs and have developed a Home Insurance Scheme with one of our insurer partners. The cover has been tailored to provide specific benefits applicable to our customers. It is important to note however that we only have access to this household facility and it may not be competitive in every case.
There are some things that will fall outside the scope of cover provided under our Scheme policies. As a broker the Church of Scotland Insurance Services Ltd is able to arrange these further covers on your behalf with a number of insurers with whom we have an agency.
