Emma has lived locally since 1980, attending King's School in Ottery St Mary. She qualified from The University of Bristol in 1989 and went on to work as an associate in Paignton and Exeter before taking over the responsibilities of running her own practice in 1996. She is experienced in all aspects of dentistry but is particularly keen on preventive dentistry.
After your teeth have been examined and a treatment plan has been agreed, you'll be given a written estimate of the cost of the work to be done. Our practice policy is to ask you to pay for the treatment as you receive it with full payment to be made on completion of treatment. If you are worried about the cost of dental treatment or find any point about charges difficult to understand, please let us know.
A. Our private initial consultation will consist of two appointments 1 with the dentist for a examination and one with our hygiene therapist, in total this lasts approximately 50 mins. Initial scaling and polishing including preventative dietary and oral hygiene advice as required from one of our lovely hygiene therapists.
If you are coming towards us from Exeter direction please use the A30 and exit at the sign for Feniton. As you reach a T junction turn left and stay on the Ottery Road until you come to a curve in the road, you then need to go straight over into Green Lane. Go along Green Lane over the railway bridge and take the next turning on your left into Wells Avenue.
We provide tooth whitening using custom-made trays and a whitening gel equivalent to 3.6% hydrogen peroxide (10% carbonide peroxide) which are worn between 1-8 hours. The practice suggests using the lowest concentration of gel to begin with to minimise the sensitivity which is the main side effect of whitening.
