The reason for choosing Williams Driving School was because of their customer reviews, reasonable prices and availability of more intensive hours. It was also important I found a driving instructor that was the right fit for me and could understand and have patience with my nerves. I have had two previous driving instructors and their methods of teaching were slow.
My driving instructor Greg Braund surprised me by making the most of the time we had. Greg's teaching methods were great, he took into consideration how I was feeling about a particular area of driving and noted that down for the next lesson so I had the opportunity to build my confidence bit by bit.

Dave Williams is the driving school owner and lives in Torquay. Dave has a very experienced team that provides driving tuition in the Torbay area including the towns of Torquay, Paignton, Newton Abbot, Brixham, Dawlish, Kingsteignton and Teignmouth. Dave also takes care of customer services and offers far more than a simple booking service and he will listen very carefully to your requirements before offering a solution.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning to drive, it was more enjoyable than I had expected it to be. My driving instructor Dave Williams had teaching methods that were memorable and easy to understand.

Many thanks to James for my refresher driving lesson to help me regain my driving confidence after suffering an accident. He was very professional and calm, full of encouragement all through the lesson. I feel very reassured and am so much more confident after the lesson so feel I will now to be able to drive again. I highly recommend him and will not hesitate to contact again if needed.

Dave was an outstanding instructor. He is very serious about safety and ensuring the successful passing of the driving test. When I made the same mistake more than once, Dave made me do it over and over until I got it right. He quietly and professionally guided me through the entire process. By the time I did my test I was quietly confident I would pass (I did!). Thank you Dave for making the entire process such a pleasure! I highly recomment Williams Driving School Torquay.

I learnt to drive with Guy Parfitt and he is a fantastic instructor! I passed my practical test yesterday and I highly recommend learning with him.
He is a really nice bloke, he’s great at putting you at ease and very patient. He is also the first instructor that gave me the self confidence that I could tackle my nerves about driving and reach my goal of passing my test.

I hadn't driven for 10 years so booked refresher lessons, Anna my instructor was absolutely amazing, she was patient and restored my confidence. She got me driving to the places I would likely be going, and for the first time since I passed my test I drove on the motorway. I used to feel physically sick at the thought of driving which is why I stopped. I can't thank Anna enough, I have a new lease of life!

Today the unthinkable happened - I passed my driving test first time. I cannot thank Marc enough, he was patient and kind when I made mistakes and most importantly we had a laugh. I started learning around 6 months ago and I was a very nervous driver. I never felt rushed and Marc really helped to boost my confidence. I highly recommend learning with Williams!

Massive thank-you to Williams Driving School especially Dave Williams for teaching me how to drive and helping me pass my test 1st time!!! Dave is a very helpful and fun driving instructor, he made me feel very confident about my driving (even tho i was very nervous on the day) and helped me to understand everything. I also had the pleasure of accompanying / chauffeuring;) Dave in the Big Learner Relay for children in need for no extra price on top of my intense course!!
