1st Choice School of Motoring was originally founded by myself Gus Mackenzie in 2001, in my little red KA. Within a short time, the business grew from a part time job into a Limited Company with over seven training vehicles. Since 2013, both Gus & Norrie regrouped, to become; ' 1st Choice 4 driving lessons' and with Norrie's retirement in 2020.
I still like to pride myself that 90% of all my business comes from; word of mouth & social media recommendations, which I believe is testament to a friendly and patient customer service provider. As an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), I have been teaching in Kirkcaldy for 20 years and like all Instructors, appropriately supervised and graded by the DVSA, the UK government agency, that supervises all in the driving tuition industry.

In learning to drive, many Pupils may have had differing approaches and abilities toward their driving tuition, for some 25 / 50 hours of tuition may have been required to pass the actual driving test. However, the Pass Plus course was developed as the next stage for newly qualified drivers.
For many drivers, once they've passed, their driving skills may not be enough or even fully developed to appreciate their own limitations on themselves and their vehicles.Quite simply, the Pass Plus course offers; peace of mind and for some, huge discounts on their car insurance (subject to various insurance providers), anything from 300 to 1200.
