At Attard School of Motoring, we realise that not everyone is the same. That is why we tailor our driving lessons to you! Some learner drivers may have never driven a car before, that is why we will never push you and we'll always be patient. We offer highly trained driving instructors to pupils in Birmingham.
We have laid out all the details regarding the various licence categories applicable to recreational trailer towing elsewhere on the site. If you need information about licence categories, please consult one of our other guides. In this guide, we will focus primarily on what you need to know about the UK towing test.
You need to drive for 35-40 minutes following route directions from the examiner. The examiner must be satisfied that you are a good, safe driver who follows the rules given in the Highway Code and represents no danger to yourself or other road users. This is impossible to answer because everyone learns at a different pace.

I have been on a whole journey with Carl I started my lessons around 3/4 years ago and had to stop due to a change in circumstances, but after a long wait I was finally able to start again but covid hit and postponed a lot! Carl kept me up to date and as soon as we could start again we did and it was all worth it in the end because I managed to pass with only 1 minor! I couldn’t recommend him enough he is absolutely amazing! He is also teaching my stepdad and little brother :D

I used Attard School of Motoring for my B+E course. Carl was fantastic, teaching me all I needed to know, but prioritising the areas I needed to work on, meaning I was ready for the test in plenty of time. Due to Covid-19, we hit a few snags with test centres (very hard to find times at Birmingham during that period) and Carl was always very accommodating and worked around issues with no problems. Would highly recommend.

I transferred to Carl after a really poor experience with another local Driving school. My experience with Carl was completely different, he helped me re-focus and enjoy Driving again. Carl is an amazing driving instructor. I could not be happier with my learning experience. He was patience and understanding, he made me feel comfortable at all times and very flexible around my availability.

I started lessons with Carl following the recommendation of a friend, and I have to say there is no one better to place your faith in than the Attard School of Motoring. Each lesson felt as though time and thought was thoroughly being spent on knowing what pace I needed to learn and the best way in which I learned things, especially the harder maneuvers. Carl was extremely flexible to my busy schedule, always friendly and helpful. Passed first time!

Carl came as a recommendation from friends who had previously not cleared the test and since I was hoping to clear it without a fail, I was happy to have lessons with him. Most patient instructor ever, very knowledgeable, flexible to fit my super hectic and random schedule. When he felt I was getting close to being ready he advised me when to book all exams theory as well as practical and I passed on first attempt. His feedback is spot on and I recommend him any time.
