Services
We recommend regular check ups to identify and rectify any dental problems promptly and check your gums for health. It also gives you the opportunity to discuss any dental concerns you may have. We will diagnose the cause of your toothache and recommend treatment to eliminate your discomfort. There are several options to solve these problems based on your level of dental health and budgetary constraints.
The dental examination shows how healthy you mouth is. After the examination, you and your dentist can discuss the results and plan the best way to deal with any problems. Your general health and any medicines you might be taking (because these can affect your dental care);. How you clean your teeth (because correct cleaning helps prevent tooth decay and gum disease);.
Ask a series of questions about your problem as well as looking at your teeth and gums and take some x-rays. If you are a patient of the practice, we recommend you phone as early in the day as possible so we can see you promptly. Obviously if your problem is serious such as uncontrollable haemorrhage or airway closure, you should attend A+E immediately.
A filling replaces part of a tooth that has been lost because of decay or accidental damage. Unlike silver (amalgam) fillings, white fillings stick to teeth so they can be used to repair teeth (especially front teeth) which have been chipped, broken or decayed. They can sometimes be used in back teeth if there is not too much decay or damage.
Dentures are made of plastic and sometimes metal as well to make them strong and less bulky. A dental technician (usually off site) makes a plaster model of your teeth and makes the dentures on them. Dentures will never feel completely like your own teeth and it can take a little while to get used to them.

I found I had a loose tooth, rang on Monday of Christmas week and was given an appointment on Wednesday. The staff were all pleasant and friendly and Mr Johnson removed the tooth and assured me that I could ring if I had any problems in the next few days or even between Christmas and New Year. Fortunately I did not have any problems, I felt that I had received a first class service.

I'm a new patient to the practice having recently moved to the area, I hadn't been to the dentist for 3 years and was slightly worried about going again (ridiculous for a 51 year old!), both the dentist & hygienist couldn't have been nicer and the practice itself is a lovely clean spacious building....dare I say I'm looking forward to my next visit.......
