Exeter Small Automatics is one of the largest specialist small automatic retailers in the UK. We have a strong customer base across the Westcountry, but also find demand for our vehicles coming from as far afield as London, Newcastle and the Scilly Isles. Enquiries have even been received from as far away as Australia and North America.
We always try to hold the widest possible range of small automatic cars and believe that we have the largest selection available in the UK. At most times we should have at least one example of every model automatic small car available from every manufacturer. We are however aware that it is sometimes impossible to satisfy every need from our on-site stock.
Automatic cars are much easier to drive than those with manual transmission. Some people learn from scratch, taking their driving test on an automatic, and thus have an automatic only licence. Others migrate from manual to automatic, for one reason or another. Seldom is there a transition the other way.
Please check out some of the most frequently asked questions that we receive about automatics. How do I drive an Automatic Car? Automatic cars are easier to drive than manual transmission cars, which make them ideal for new drivers, those who find the gear lever a bit stiff or who need a modified car due to some physical restriction.

,,I am very pleased with my hyundi car. The only thing I have a problem with is spending ten minutes or so finding the screen washer, lol. Thank you so much for bringing it for me. I have built up my confidence after many years of not driving. I have been to about four different places that I like. Its a boon for my shopping. I have been given a 3 year license at 68 years of age. Then if my health is OK, they hopefully will renew it.

The proprietor of this local dealership , Charles , seemed a very personable and charming man , to whom nothing seemed to be too much trouble , regarding getting my new car ready for me , he really went the extra mile , keeping me informed by phone as he took care of such things as new M.O.T , road tax , as well as having the car serviced . Knowing I am disabled , and had never driven an automatic car before , he insisted on driving me to a quiet part of Exeter so he could familiarise me with the car , and assure himself it was the right car for me ! You don't often get personal service like that
