Thompson Brothers Insurance Consultants was established in 1972 and has always been based in Stockport. Originally started by Barry and Peter Thompson (pictured above), the business was set up with a view to providing insurances services with an approachable, personal touch. Forty years on the team (although older) and the business have grown from strength to strength.
Barry Thompson, an ambassador of the teenage cancer unit at The Christie, wanted to do something special during his Presidential year for the Insurance Institute of Manchester(IIM) to help make a valuable contribution to the local community.
The 150,000 would fund a new high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) room, as part of the Young Oncology Unit, where teenagers and young adults under cancer treatment can stay in a safe environment and an extra bed is provided for a family member to stay with them.Barry stated: As president of the Insurance Institute of Manchester I thought this would be a great opportunity to leave a legacy and share my enthusiasm for The Christie with others.

I have been using the excellent services of Thompson Brothers Insurance for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. They have an extremely professional team who offer good sound advice and are always polite and friendly to deal with. Insurance can be tailored to suit to meet your needs and nothing is too much trouble. If you can't make it to the office they will even come out to see you. I would highly recommend.

Tamzin was very rude on the phone! Phoned asking when our business insurance is due for renewal and when I explained we have just renewed and I don't want to keep getting phone calls, she very rudely said "by the tone of your voice, you're not interested". Not how you would speak to a potential customer!

I have used Thompson brothers for over 8 years now. Great company to deal with.
Lyn is so helpful and professional.
They dealt directly with the insurance company after my home was burgled to ensure my claim was settled in full. I am in no doubt that if I had insured on line/direct I would have not been paid out in full for my claim as I would have had no one to champion on my behalf. Definitely recommend using this company.
