After leaving school Chris started work in a family owned supermarket chain, but decided that a formal business qualification was needed to gain business experience, and started training to be a Chartered Accountant, initially with a firm in Exeter and then in Newton Abbot. He then went to London and worked for a 14 partner City firm for four years before deciding to spend two years in the Caribbean working for one of the big international firms.
Most people starting up in business do so because they have a good business proposition and the enterprise and commitment to see it through. However, they may not be experts in the legal and financial aspects of running a business and such matters often appear daunting. Fortunately you do not need to be an expert in these fields to succeed in business but you do need the support of a team of trained experts.

We have been using Rupp & Fraser for the last 26 years and they are BRILLIANT. Everybody in the practice is friendly and very approachable. They are informative with regard to the legislation with regard to many different tax affairs. We have just gone into cloud accounting and Kas has been very understanding and easy to talk to enabling the accounts to get up to speed quickly and efficiently!

My experience with Rupp & Fraser accountants has always been positive. The owners and employees are all very approachable and are keen to help their clients. They recently introduced me to a new online accountancy package which has saved me no end of time with my paperwork. I also like that when I call them by telephone I am always answered within 3-4 rings so no hanging around having to listen to inane music.
