A crown is a cap that is placed over a tooth and held in place by dental adhesive or cement. What are crowns made from? Crowns can be made from a variety of materials. They can be made from plastic, ceramic or metal alloys. A combination of metal and ceramic is also possible to maximise strength and simulate the appearance of natural teeth.
A denture is a removable prosthesis used to replace missing teeth. Commonly referred to as 'false teeth', a denture is usually made of acrylic or a combination of acrylic and metal. A partial denture is fitted to replace some missing teeth whilst a complete denture is indicated when all natural teeth are missing.
Teeth can discolour for various reasons. The dentist will recommend the most ideal method based on your oral condition after an in-office examination to establish the cause and nature of your tooth discolouration, as well as provide you with more information on the various types of whitening procedures available, duration & frequency of treatment.
Nowadays fillings are not only functional, but can be natural looking as well. Many people don't want silver fillings that show when they laugh or smile because they are more conscious about they way they look. As time passes, amalgam fillings can make the surrounding tooth appear grey and unsightly.

I had a private appointment this afternoon at 3.30pm with a dentist called "Bruce".
At 4pm I was still waiting in the waiting area with no explanation for the delay.
Eventually I found out after asking a few times that "Bruce" was seeing an emergency private patient.
When I went into the dental room "Bruce" said "sorry to keep you waiting". ("Sorry " is often a meaningless hollow platitude and certainly it did nothing to help me or make me feel any better for the long wait with no explanation)
He told me he liked to "look after his patients". Of course, what he meant was his private patients

I had to attend for an emergency appointment with a painful tooth. I cannot fault the reception staff and the dental assistants. However, the dentist I had was rude, not at all reassuring, had no customer service skills and frankly I was frightened with his attitude of talking to me with his back turned. At times he was patronising. The receptionist suggested I see the Practice Manager who kept me waiting for 10 mins whilst she "read my record" and seemed disinterested in my complaint. She did not even greet me or offer a name. Customer service nil and no apologies for the poor service. I then

The family have been using this Dentists for about three years now with no issues. I have had a problem with an infection and a tooth that needed to come out and i can not fault this practice. From the very friendly reception to the dentists and dental nurses everyone has been thoroughly professional and really nice caring people.
I can thoroughly reccomend this practice.

I have used Marie-Claire at Davies & Seeley for donkey's years now I can honestly say I have had nothing but professional and friendly care throughout this time. I am fairly certain that if it were not for MC's expertease and caring approach, my rather rubbish teeth would have crumbled to nothing or completely rotted away years ago, and I certainly can't afford implants. Keep up the excellent work!

Booked an appointment and saw Marg. Paid £21 for a Stage 1 NHS plan and got 2 x-rays and no inclusive scrape and polish (S & P). I am over 60 and have a history of tartar/plaque deposits. Presently I have some mild traces at the rear of my lower front teeth and expected these to be nipped in the bud. When I challenged them on missing out the inclusive S & P they come up with the excuse that I needed a more in depth S & P than the NHS plan allowed for which is absolute rubbish, just making excuses to cover their tracks. Apart from not listening to instructions this practice seemed to be steering
