An MOT test is your vehicles' annual safety check. Virtually every vehicle in the UK requires a valid MOT certificate, once over 3 years of age. Without one, you risk a substantial fine. Although it may feel like it at times, the MOT test is not deliberately designed as an annual drain on your bank balance.

Just bought my dream car and could not be happier! Peter was super helpful from start to finish - great guy! Fantastic car, good price although part exchange price could have been better now I’ve seen what they are advertising my old car for. Finance sorted very easily. Always used horsepower for service and MOTs and now would not hesitate to recommend Peter to friends looking for a new car.

On my list of things I enjoy, buying a car doesn't appear near the top ten, but needs must. Having decided on the car required and looking at garages with good reviews I went to Horsepower.
Peter hit the right note with me. Not lots of car sales chat (if you want lots of car chat I am sure Peter can do this too), just clear information about how the sale would go though, realistic timescales, what he would do in terms of prior arrangements before I came to pick the car up and what to do if I had any problems. Excellent.
Unfortunately sometimes cars throw up the unexpected and after the initial

Great service received by the team at horsepower. Peter was very helpful and not at all pushy. Very good level of info received prior to collecting the car. Collecting the car was very quick and efficient. Overall I am very pleased with the car and the service I received, I would use them again.

I purchased a Red Mazda MX-5 which unfortunately turned out to be not fit for the road.
I had to sell my car to make way for a house deposit and looked for a cheap fun car which would be good for my May trip to Scotland, I came across the mx5 on horsepower, it was on the more pricey side of what I wanted to pay but had low miles for its age and was advertised as being a very clean car (the pics reflected this), it also supposedly had FSH.
It was a 260 mile drive down to view the car from Yorkshire - upon arrival the salesperson was very helpful. I looked round the car, I couldn't test drive

A very poor customer service. I ordered this car 2 weeks ago. Paid my deposit and took the train down on collection day. Car was not prepped/cleaned. I ended up waiting 4 hours for a fog light bulb to be changed and a valet. No hand over given of controls etc. The "Professional Clean" was shocking (see photos) When I get on the road I find the DAB radio doesn't work. The roof has a couple of wear marks and the front bumper is scratched. None of this was highlighted on the video. Seriously considering rejecting the car. Luckily I have two weeks to decide. Shame really because the car drives lovely
