A small and relaxed campsite, the perfect base for exploring Pembrokeshire with friends and family. A really perfect place to relax and unwind, but with plenty of things to do and places to visit without having to travel too far to get anywhere. We cannot recommend highly enough! Thank you to Kate and Luke for a really lovely holiday.
We swam without wetsuits in late October! We also hung out at the beach for hours because it's very sheltered from the wind - perfect for kids. Hosts Kate and Luke have all the local info you could ever want. The coastal path is at the end of the bridleway and provides excellent views and walks in either direction with the coastal puffin bus to get you back to where you started at the far end of the bridleway.

Location deserves 5 stars. Facilities are new, clean and well spaced pitches with a gorgeous uninterrupted view of the sea. Recommend the coastal pathway and a visit to the local beach.
Returning after 8 months, our opinion don't change. We love the site. There were welcomed improvements to the facilities too. Hopefully WiFi next and a hard stand (Motorhomes not so easy to level).
We'll return.

The welcome was excellent and we were allowed acmes to the cottage ahead of expected check in time. the cottage is in a lovely location with excellent views of the sea. You are a 20 minute walk from the beach, down some steep slopes and about 3o minutes to get back due to the up hill walk back. The cottage is a decent size with everything you need but unfortunately missing the touches that would make it score higher. The mattress on our bed was so thin I could feel the wooden slats through it and also the bed was too small for me. Cleanliness was an issue. Lots of cobwebs everywhere and I accidentally

Really lovely campsite. Friendly owners, spacious and clean facilities. We had three fantastic nights here. The changeable weather adds to the sense of wildness and we embraced it. The ‘bumpy road’ that a previous reviewer grumbled about is just a normal track and nothing to be put off by in the slightest. All and all well worth it, especially for the great beaches nearby.

If you are looking for the loud teenager parties, kareoke, static vans everywhere, massive sites, then this is not the one for you. If like me you are looking for a quiet weekend away, 5 minutes walk from the Pembrokeshire Way, 10 from the beach, then have a look at Shortlands. Perfect weather, thankfully little wind (a first for Wales right?) and no, yes ZERO traffic noise, the only thing you can hear are the cows and the waves. This will not be my last stay here, even with the 4hr drive, it beats others hands down.

Very much off the beaten track with many miles of small windy roads to reach it. The toilet/shower block is adequate, however while they provide hand soap, and sponges for washing up, they don't provide toilet paper, hand towels, or washing up liquid. Showers and taps run hot quickly, though the showers are on a short push-button timer. I'm sure the view is lovely, unfortunately when I was there the weather was miserable and the tent field offers NO protection from the wind that came howling in from the sea, which made for a very cold night - luckily my tent was still standing in the morning!
