Combining our knowledge of materials and expertise in innovative engineering solutions, we utilise Additive Manufacturing technology to create complex shapes and geometric features that would be impossible to produce in traditional manufacturing processes. 3D printing can be used to fabricate world class components in industries including aerospace, medical, sports and more.

We work with clients across Europe, the US and further afield to offer innovative solutions to meet a wide variety of bespoke project briefs. Additive Manufacturing, or 3D printing, enables our engineers to design complex shapes and geometric features that would otherwise be impossible to manufacture.
Services
Originally founded in 1996, METRON is an engineering consultancy delivering design excellence to clients internationally. It was then transformed into its current format in 2009. Combining engineering acumen and material expertise, we offer innovative solutions which enable our clients to meet their objectives.
METRON CYCLING COMPONENTS are designed and built in-house on our Additive Manufacturing machines, using only the highest grade materials. The 3D printing process allows us to optimise our components far beyond conventional manufacturing techniques, offering stiff and aerodynamic parts without a weight penalty over conventional parts.
Additive Manufacturing refers to the process in which CAD data and geometry is interpreted to deposit layers of material to build up a component or structure. At METRON, we specialise in engineering solutions that can apply to any industry. Our in-house ARCAM Q10 and EOS M400 Additive Manufacturing machines enable us to create both production and prototype components in short lead times.
Our sport engineering technologies are perfect for the custom design of high-end sporting equipment that delivers excellent performance and unparalleled aerodynamics, every time. METRON designed components have contributed to almost 200 world medals in cycling. METRON'S EBM technology, combined with our specialist knowledge, results in the production of complex aerodynamic parts perfect for motorsport engineering.
With AS9100 accreditation for the production of additively manufacture components for aerospace and as an Airbus AP Works certified partner METRON produces lightweight yet strong components for aerospace using titanium and aluminium alloys.

The complex geometries made possible by additive manufacture - including lattice structures, thin-walled structures and topology optimised, organic design - empower innovative design, achieving significant weight reductions and performance enhancements.
