Our skilled management and craftsmen carry out professional and safe works to the highest standards, ensuring that each project operates efficiently, satisfying the client's exact specifications and requirements, within program and budget. FMR undertakes projects and works as principal or sub contractor to both the private and public sectors.
FM Restoration Ltd are highly aware of the potential damage that can be caused to historic buildings with the use of incorrect techniques. The very nature of cleaning buildings correctly is vital in maintaining our heritage and a doorway to the past. Thus exemplary care and skill are needed to make sure that such architecture is kept alive.
FM Restoration has a wealth of experience in the manufacture of precast concrete and cast stone products. We prefabricate 100% of our own moulds and are proud of our ability to supply precast concrete to almost any specification. Our products range scales from concrete blocks and basic beams through to intricate columns and balustrades.
We source new stone from local quarries, and can source specialist new stone from throughout Europe. Each project is individually assessed at tender stage with a lengthy process put in place to guarantee that the stone required for the individual project satisfies our clients requirements. A limestone from the Tithonian stage of the Jurassic period quarried on the Isle of Portland, Dorset.
Much of the stone flooring we see in buildings today is either marble or granite. Marble restoration requires high levels of skill that FM Restoration are pleased to offer. It can be damaged easily by inexperienced tradesmen and this is where we come in. Marble comes in a variety of colours usually with a network of veins and variations of colour evident and comes in soft to hard varieties.
