Claire grew up in Malvern, Worcestershire and started hairdressing when she was fifteen, becoming an apprentice when she left school and went on to work in a few salons around the town. She gained knowledge, experience and confidence working with well established brands such as L'Oreal and Wella. In 2003 she moved to New Zealand where she was inspired by the talented stylists that she met and worked with.
She continued to develop her hairdressing skills through extended courses, advanced colouring workshops and classes in innovative cutting techniques with top New Zealand hairdresser, David Shields. Eventually Claire opened her own salon in New Zealand offering hair, beauty and nail treatments. The business was a great success and grew quickly to a team of six.

Claire has trained with Trevor Sorbie, MBE. He is the founder of My New Hair a charity offering support and advice for medical hair loss. Inspired by Trevor's passion for the good work that can be done by the industry in this area, Claire has created Head over Healing. Head over healing offers clients a one to one service at the salon, in your home or in hospital.

I hadn't visited a hairdresser for 20 years until I made an appointment here. I suffered from scalp psoriasis. I had a patch test. No terrible reaction. I came to PhD and had my hair cut and coloured. I no longer suffer from psoriasis. All products are organic. The attention to detail is exemplary. The staff are warm, friendly and highly trained.
