Job History: Went from School to accounts at local government to make sure it was what I wanted to do. Moved up to London to get more experience and started studying at 19, worked for Marine Consultancy Company working my way from General finance admin to purchase ledger, credit control, sales ledger and then to assiting with Management accounts. Moved to a Legal Publishers as a management accountant when I was 24, started family at 28 - 2 years out, then here when I was 30.
Why you love your job: Have always loved my job, knew I wanted to be an accountant from age 10 (sad I know!) love the satisfaction of getting something to balance (just as sad I know!) Also love working with people/client interaction, not something everyone associates with being an accountant, but I enjoy building relationships with customers.
