Owlpen Manor Estate
Deep in a private Cotswold valley, Owlpen Manor has been described as "the most beautiful place in England." The Tudor Manor House is steeped in 800 years of history, with Arts and Crafts furniture and its own community of ghosts. We are an exclusive wedding venue for 20-200 people, and we welcome guests to our nine self-catering boutique Cotswold holiday cottages, which are all dog-friendly accommodation and perfect for families.

They offer an unforgettable stay in this hidden corner of Gloucestershire between Tetbury and Stroud, and sleep between two and eight people. Wedding guests enjoy exclusive use of our exclusive Cotswold wedding venue and events venue, centred around the historic Cyder Barn, built in 1446, and brand new events barn next to it, built in 2020.
Services
The Owlpen Estate is perfect for family holidays and romantic weekend breaks. Our serviced holiday cottages are dog-friendly, and offer the perfect self-catering experience in the Cotswolds. We have nine beautiful self-catering holiday cottages at Owlpen Manor which sleep 40 people in total, in houses, barns and woodland homes for between 2 and 8 people.
Encapsulating the romance of Owlpen, it has been imaginatively converted to provide a cosy, little rustic cottage for five people, although four is recommended. Situated next to the Manor gardens, the diminutive Court House with its quirky period charm is a favourite with history buffs, aesthetes and lovers of architecture.
Ever-popular with families and groups of friends, the Grist Mill is the largest holiday cottage on the Owlpen estate. In the 1980's it was lovingly restored by the Mander family, and turned into a unique holiday home.

Many of the old machinery that used to operate in the mill still survives in situ, so this property is heaven for those interested in exploring old houses, examining traditional machinery, and of course, it's great for children who have lots of nooks and crannies to hide in on rainy days! The mill is at the heart of the estate, just 100 metres from the manor house itself.
This spacious modern farmhouse cottage is purpose-designed for holiday use. It is built in traditional Cotswold style with typical gabled windows and hood moulds, and comes with its own garden and parking spaces. Adjoining Over Court and built to the same high specifications, the two cottages can be let together to provide comfortable family accommodation for up to nine guests.
Outside, the grounds provide a meeting place for sociable pheasants. The cottage is approached up a long and sometimes bumpy private drive. It leads behind the church and manor house, into the heart of the beech woods. Surrounded by the steep hangers, off a drive, off a lane, off a minor road, buried in the bosom of the Cotswolds, here is a cosy hideaway that must be about as remote as you can get from the twentieth century in southern England.

Went to a wedding here. Beautiful surroundings, stunning venue and the staff were very helpful. We stayed in the cottages, really characterful, could just do with heating being more clean and a few more bits of toiletries but bar that a pleasant stay.

We stayed there for a wedding in Peters Nest. Venue is amazing and so beautiful. Staff were so helpful. Only thing was our shower was basically unusable due to no water pressure and the very low ceiling in the bathroom. Had to go to a different cottage to shower.
