I changed from my previous accountant over 15 years ago to HT, who work for a fixed charge for the year (no more £100/hour charges for telephone advice!), and immediately cut my costs in half. They take care of my tax returns, payslips, year end reporting and annual accounts for my small business book publisher limited company.
The most useful thing is their advice on how much to claim in each expenses category, such as use of home as office or proportion of phone bill, which can be more or less than you'd expect, and they recommended me to deregister for VAT which saved a lot of monthly paperwork

Terrible service, they charge different rates for different clients which is terrible as I paying much more in comparison to my friend and the boss is two faced. He seems polite and friendly but noticed he just tells you what you want to hear then not deliver as he was late in giving me the services his accounting firm offered when he assured me they would be ready by the time I arrived and there was incorrect numbers at times so AVOID.
Also they aren't open on Saturdays so again they are lying.
