When I first walked into Silk Trends, I was worried as I wanted to start my natural hair journey. My hair was a mess due to weaves etc and I thought I would be judged. My experience was quite the opposite. The owner, Ingrid told me that the condition of my hair could be fixed and that I shouldn’t worry.
She treated and cut my hair and advised me on hair products to use at home. She helped me to be successful and confident on my natural hear journey. She is so helpful and full of good advice.
I found the prices very reasonable and the service great from both her and the other hairdresser.

I took my daughter to this salon earlier today for the first time, as soon as we stepped through the door we were greeted by the lovely Ingrid. We didn't have to wait long for my daughters appointment and while doing my daughters hair Ingrid was giving me tips and products that could help with the health of my daughters hair. My daughter left the salon with lovely silky hair and very happy. I highly reccommend Silk Trends and will definitely be going again.

Absolutely rubbish! The owner is RUDE!!! Ingrid thinks its totally acceptable to make up prices on the spot depending on her mood!
This is Not the first time I've been overcharged for work my 8yr old daughter could have done.
Very dissapointed in this place as they started of so good.
Literally just called to get my hair sorted which I normally pay £20-£25
But because Ingrid is in a bad mood, she is charging me £40.

I’ve been going to this hair dressers for almost 6 years now. I would never go anywhere else!! I originally found this place while looking for somewhere to do a Brazilian blow dry. My hair was in terrible condition, I’d ruined my hair. Ingrid wouldn’t do a Brazilian blow dry due to my hairs condition, even though I had offered to pay more if she would just do it. Instead, she had me condition my hair and trim it at a fraction of the cost she would have earned by just not caring and doing the procedure I wanted.

I have been coming here for about 2 years now and really rate this salon. My hair was in terrible condition due to years of relaxing but Ingrid helped me to restore it's condition through a range of treatments. My hair is now so much better and much more manageable than it has ever been. I'm not sure why the other review on this page is so negative because I have honestly never had a bad experience here. Treatments are expensive, but for the final result it is definitely worth it. Price is also less than other salons in the West End of London and in my experience, result is much better

My hair in the end was lovely but I am appalled but Ingrid's manner of speaking and lack of social skills you could call it, laughing about how dry my hair was (which I am aware of) and then proceeding to make fun of they way I speak. I'm absolutely disgusted with the way I was treated, (as if I was a regular customer that she could joke with), and as I started to cry , I'm not very fond of having the mickey taken out of me and I don't think many people would be able to, especially in a room full of adults laughing about how you pronounce your words or what condition your hair
