Fowlers of Bristol (Engineers) Ltd is a privately owned SME located in Avonmouth close to the City of Bristol in the South West of England, we have a versatile, skilled and knowledgeable team who are pro-active and customer focused which enables us to provide a first class and reliable service.
I went into manufacturing straight from school and served a traditional 5-year apprenticeship covering many engineering disciplines, since then I have held various managerial roles covering production, quality, and engineering. I have been at Fowlers for over for 20 years and love being part of a dynamic, conscientious and customer focused team, together we have built long lasting relationships with a number of prestige companies.
Fowlers of Bristol (Engineers) Ltd was originally part of a cycle and motor cycle business started in 1918 by Frank Fowler. To survive during the second world war the company was forced to diversify into engineering which from 1950-2015 had been located at a small premises in Montpelier Bristol. In 1961 the business became a private limited company, seperate from the motorcycle business, although still owned by members of the Fowler family.
This is programmed "off line" using a RADAN CAD/CAM system. This enables us to programme parts quickly and without interrupting production, a programme once generated can be sent via a cable link. We can punch a variety of materials which include St. Steel, Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Titanium and Nickel Alloys.
We have a number of manual and hydraulic presses with capacity ranging from 1 to 80 tonnes along with shearing and cropping facilities, we can cope with low or medium volume production runs and offer short lead times. We have been supplying parts for the Defence sector for over 50 years are proud to be part of the supply chain for our Armed Forces.
