Definitely not recommended! I had to pay with card and, rather than paying at the end of my ride, they asked for my full card details over the phone, when I called to book. Then, once at the destination, the driver had been informed that I would pay with cash. After some arguing, I was forced to give my card details on the phone, again, as there was no record of my previous attempt, and the driver was not equipped with a card reader. Embarassing!

Excellent service received by both the customer service team ( Louann especially) and the drivers. I have organised quite a few cars to ferry 33 people from a wedding venue back to their hotel. Had a call whenever any changed on booking ( swapping 4 seater for 6 seater, etc) Had to amend the booking on the night several times and cancel cabs and change pick up postcode as wrong one originally given. Everyone was polite and helpful and actually made my fairly difficult job so much easier. The customer service team was outstanding, and all the drivers were courteous, polite, and understanding. I

Access to work: having waited weeks for my award letter I phone green tomato to request to set up an account as instructed by my caseworker. First there are no cars available despite booking 24 hours in advance, then I'm unable to open an account until I receive a call back a full day later. I'm then told that the quote I was given a week earlier is incorrect and it will be an additional £15 per journey. Adding insult to injury, I speak to two team members who seem irritated my call and consistently and patronisingly tell me that I don't understand how access to work operates and are for some

Don’t bother using Green tomato cars. It used to be good but has become useless in the last few months. The last 2 times I booked here’s what happened: the first booking got cancelled and the second time the driver was 35 minutes late with no advance warning. Just stick to Addison Lee and save yourself the hassle.

I have been using Green Tomato cars for the best part of 7 years and I cannot remember the last time i was so angry at a company.
The pros: none any more
The cons:
over charged me 3 times in the last 2 months
The times I’ve booked with them the cabs have arrived late... every time
The service has gone dow to a gutter rating and i have had enough deleted the app and asked GT to remove any of my details... really bad service

Absolutely appalling service. The driver was late, no apology or anything, good thing I wasn't in a rush. The driver in general was rude and snobby. If you asked him a question he just muttered under his breath. He put a couple of my bags in the car, which was nice enough, I didn't ask him to do it, but he made a big show of putting on plastic gloves before he would touch them... Is he chauffeur to the queen when he's at home?
Then when we arrived, they tried to charge me £13 more than I had been quoted on the phone so almost 50% more than the journey cost. I ended up having to ring the office

This was a great experience. Although I had a small problem with the registration process, the taxi was easy to reserve and pay for online beforehand. Then you get a text and email telling you when the driver's on the way and with a link to a map so you can see how far away they are - I like that. The car arrived on time and was clean; the driver was polite and helpful; the journey was smooth.
