Great little place with fabulous food, we we're made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived, and also asked to a wear a face mask at the bar when ordering drinks which we respected. It was very busy so I would recommend phoning ahead to reserve a table, the staff are extremely professional and very friendly.

Really good pub doing well kept beer and excellent pub grub. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming!
Brilliant plate of fish & chips and the Timothy Taylor's Landlord was in tip top condition. Landlord busy but chatted while I got out order in. Masks are required when you go to the bar to order food and drinks. Desserts looked great, though I couldn't manage one after my main and pint!!!
Garden looked really pleasant, plenty of parking. Location on Google Maps is slightly out but I've suggested an edit to remedy that.
All in all, a brilliant stop off while staying locally. We'll be back shortly

Strange experience. Pub has a lovely country feel it, nicely decorated to the pheasant theme with a great tweed carpet. Menu is very basic and doesn't explain what you get, for example, sausage with egg chips and peas. Food was basic home food at a cheap price cooked nicely, pie was lovely. Staff were friendly however didn't know the menu when we had questions. Didn't stay for pudding. Good for a quick pit stop if your hungry, wouldn't go here for a dinner date though.

This is an example of a local pub that has simply got everything right about opening post-Covid19. Extra outdoor tables, solid precautionary measures and a great positive attitude and investment from guys who know they have to make this work. Couple that with likeability of staff and great food, good portions and reasonable prices, I'm real happy. One of the high points in a holiday full of them. Thanks all for making our stay in the area better that I thought it could be.
