J H Hugill started practising, in London, in 1892 and the firm he founded continued in existence until it merged with Wilkins Kennedy, one of the top 30 accountancy firms, in 2001. Joining Hugill, straight from college in 1979, at their branch in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, and qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1984, Gordon Round became the youngest ever partner of the firm, in 1987.
A good accountant is arguably the most valuable adviser to have when running a business.
