The common fitted kitchen is normally arranged with base cabinets, typically covered with a continuous surface called a worktop countertop. There is a huge variety of materials the kitchen worktop can be made from. One of the most popular choices is solid wood worktops which are manufactured in a number of different ways including Full plank or stave wood worktop or finger jointed construction of the worktops commonly called butcher block style.
As a company specializing in solid wood worktops we have the most extensive range of wooden countertops, oak, walnut, beech, ash, cherry and many more different species of wood. Along with the above traditional wooden tops, we have a wide range of exotic wood countertops including wenge, zebrano and iroko.

Services
One of the most popular choices, our oak worktops offer great wear-resistance and are made by hand selected oak strips (staves) ensuring best possible colour match and minimum amount of knots or imperfections. Due to its nature, the worktop can consist of small knots and slight colour variations. All our worktops are A-grade.
The oak wood is an emblem of ancient Britain and oak has been grown in woodlands across Europe for centuries. That said, oak is one of the most iconic of all British trees. Oak wood is famed for the beauty of its grain. Its botanical name is Quercus robur but is commonly known as English, French or European oak.

Quality of wood was fine, however the pre oiling service was uneven and sparse, so not worth the money. The edging was not smooth and was only edged round on one end of the worktop which seemed strange they didn't do both ends.
On my first email I had asked for drainage grooves next to our sink, but when delivered there weren't any grooves. I… enquired about this to be told that the team who did the template didn't think they were needed. It was then implied that it was my fault as I was not on site when the template was done (this was down to them being unable to visit on weekends or evenings

The wood is good quality and looks nice. Good price also.
** WARNING ** - Just don't get the pre-oiled service!! They only put one coat (not 3 coats as stated) on so this does not seal the wood enough so you will need to do this yourself. We have had a few wood worktops in our time and after you have properly oiled any water should bead just like wax on a car. When questioned on this they denied it and didn't want to help :-(
