Our online theory test practice area is available to all our driving students and has everything you need from topic by topic tests and explanations to hazard perception video clips and even FULL mock tests exactly the way it will be at the test centre. Before getting started with your driving lessons we have compiled some useful information for you to help you on your way.

Services
You must have a provisional driving licence for Great Britain or Northern Ireland when you're learning to drive or ride. Have had (and still have) a full licence in the same category as the vehicle you're driving, for 3 years. If you want to drive a car you'll need to pass the driving theory test before booking either the car practical driving test.
You must have a provisional driving licence for Great Britain or Northern Ireland when you're learning to drive or ride. You must put an L plate on a prominent place on the front and back of your vehicle if you're a learner driver. You need to take L plates off your vehicle when it's not being used by a learner driver, eg between practice drives.
There's no minimum number of lessons you must have or hours you must practice driving before you take your test. There are no pass or fail quotas. The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) have merged to form the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). You must being your signed driving licence and a valid passport if you have an old-style paper licence.
The most vulnerable road users are pedestrians, particularly children, older or disabled people, cyclists, motorcyclists and horse riders. It is important that all road users are aware of The Highway Code and are considerate towards each other. This applies to pedestrians as much as to drivers and riders.
You can apply for your provisional driving licence up to 3 months before your 17th birthday (16 if you are registered disabled). You can apply using the relevant form from the Post Office, or Apply Online. Yes, as long as you have a valid UK provisional driving licence, then you can take lessons anytime from your 17th birthday.
