Bowers have the capability to supply power transformers, up to 30MVA at 33kv, our in house design team enables us to offer excellent lead times and competitive prices while having the flexibility to build our clients something truly bespoke. A full range of new high voltage and medium voltage switchgear is available to suit customers' requirements.
Bowers Electricals was contacted by Drax Group in April this year to replace one of their transformers. For this project, the end client had an urgent requirement to deliver a large scale project (5MW) in a very short space of time. Bowers Electricals Ltd were employed by Smarter Energy Services to supply the electrical equipment for a greenfield Solar Farm at Weaven Barn Hoarwithy, Herefordshire, England.

Transformers are available in ONAN, ONAF or OFAF specifications, complete with standard and special fittings that include: on load tap changers; tap changer control panels; separate and integral cooling bank systems; forced fan cooling; oil circulation pump systems; temperature monitoring systems; HV and LV cable boxes or outdoor bushings; Conservator and Bucholz etc.

Bowers Standard Distribution transformers are available from 50kVA to 3150kVA, with a typical 11000V input to 415V no-load output. Although, any size and voltage range can be catered for, up to 20MVA at 33kV. Our transformers are manufactured in accordance with national and internationally recognised standards.
Bowers can now offer a comprehensive range of complete package substation transformers. We are able to tailor these to suit customers' requirements, giving flexibility when mounting LV & HV switchgear. HV/LV switchgear can be mounted directly to the unit on the same side - beneficial when space is at a premium.
