Just had afternoon tea with two friends. We were really looking forward to it as a pre Christmas treat and the grand exchange of Christmas presents. We were mightily disappointed ! We ate in the Pig and Whistle and it was positively Baltic, not pleasant when one is sitting down. The normally attentive service was poor and the afternoon tea was mediocre at best. The soup and turkey and cranberry sausage roll was delicious and then it went downhill. The sandwiches were OK but dry chocolate Swiss roll with a blob on top? The frangipane mince pie didn’t make an appearance it was replaced with an

My usual stay when in the area. Clean warm rooms and cosy bar/restarant. Be careful with your booking, as always full.

Today was my first visit. I was working in the area & had lunch in the pig & wistle pub. Super super friendly staff. Couldn’t have been better. Had super delicious fresh moist turkey & cranberry Mayo sandwich. Was absolutely amazing. Will certainly come here again.

Stayed here for a wedding and was very happy with the friendly service. Room was very clean and of a high standard and the food was lovely as well, though could have done with a little more on the plate but that's a personal preference. The grounds are lovely to stroll around and the resident Swan, Sid was friendly and good company, though I think he was just after my biscuits really 😁 will definitely recommend and stay here again!

Lovely Hotel, set in quiet picturesque grounds with beautifully converted stables for accommodation.
I found the staff very attentive and helpful.
I will be making this my choice of stay whilst visiting the area for work in the future.

Stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding. The rooms were beautiful and the staff just couldn't do enough for you. Every member of staff were so happy and attentive. The hotel was extremely clean and tidy and I loved the chosen decor it really suits the hotel. The grounds are stunning and the ducks and rabbits are a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come again soon!

We had a wonderful experience at Healing Manor. It was our 15th wedding anniversary and although not a landmark anniversary, our waitress Lucy made it feel very special. The staff are very attentive and you feel that nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious and well presented. Portions are quite large. We were so full after two courses that we couldn't manage a dessert. Lucy however appeared with a lovely surprise to end our meal. It's a lovely place and would recommend it to everyone, we will certainly be back! Thank you to all staff.
