James Grant and Hamish McPherson have been working together as joiners for a lot longer than they care to remember!. James, originally from Grantown, has lived in Forres for the past thirty years and started his joinery/carpentry apprenticeship in 1976.
Hamish, born and bred in Elgin also served his time as a joiner/carpenter from 1980. After working together locally and a short spell working in London, they decided to start on their own in 1986. Working, at first, mainly as sub contactors to large construction companies along with their own private work they gradually realised that their hearts lay in the private side.

After a couple of meetings we were so impressed by Hamish and the team's willingness and ability to tackle much more of the jobs we needed doing that we asked them to undertake a much bigger upgrade of the property than we had first planned.Even though we couldn't be on-site very often Hamish kept us informed of the progress and contacted us to confirm details as needed.
