The food was delicious and the ambiance was absolutely superior .
Wine selection was great as well .
Possibly the best restaurant on this street way better than a lot of city center restaurants I have tried.

As a rule I would have stated 5 stars. On this occasion it was my mother's 80th birthday. It felt extremely unorganized throughout the evening /service. Menu change which was not pick up in advance. Not the best on this occasion for me. Plus the menu change wasn't for me 😳

I am absolutely disgusting at the fact today I was charged £1.99 for a very small glass and later on £5.20 for a large glass of flat diet coke that was out of a £1 1.5 ltr bottle. Now I don't usually but I just… scanned my card because my 2 year old was fidgeting around. I am actually speechless how people can charge that amount.

Came here with my boyfriend for breakfast yesterday. We were seated quickly, but told that there was a 10 minute wait on food (assuming due to a large table which were sat outside.) Our drinks order was taken, then after about 15 minutes of waiting we asked to order our food to be told someone else had to come and take our order (how difficult can it be?) anyway, the food came, something my boyfriend had ordered was missing but we couldn’t be bothered with the hassle. I had also ordered an extra portion of something, and was brought the wrong item, so told the waitress what it should have been

The standard of service did not meet our expectations. On this basis, I would not recommend Blacksticks until such a time that improvements are made. This is a shame as the standard of the food was good.

Ordered a last minute Beef sunday roast take away. To say it was delicious does not do it justice. Let's just say it didn't touch the sides. Amazing and will definitely be ordering again and hope to visit as well.... Thanks Blacksticks, we have very happy tummies...👍

If you are not from here, do not come to this restaurant. Came here a month or so ago. Horrible service for foreigners. If you’re local I’m sure it’s fantastic. We are clearly not from here and were treated like rubbish. Told we couldn’t order food due to kitchen being closed. So we had drinks. Couple came AFTER us and we’re able to order food and drink. Other places on the same strip are fantastic and have wonderful service for ALL.

Had Tapas with a friend. Great service and super taste food. Highly recommend the stew from the papas menu. Outstanding. All we need is some home baked rustic bread to start and we are laughing

Absolutely incredible! Food was 10/10, staff were super friendly and the service was very efficient. We had the Roast dinner (available on Sundays), and finished off with Sticky Toffee Pudding. Wonderful atmosphere, will certainly be revisiting!
