Set in the heart of Kew Village, the Westbrook Hair Salon is an urban oasis of cool creativity. The owner, leading London stylist Mark Westbrook, has brought an edgy London and New York hip atmosphere to West London. His salon is a creative 'workshop', where amazing things are created every day by his fantastic team of stylists and colourists.
Clients immediately relax and are filled with a sense of confidence and beauty from the moment they walk through the door. Mark has created a 'house' rather than a salon combining comfortable contemporary furnishings with ambient surroundings. He strives to create a little more beauty and harmony in the world where 'you will emerge refreshed, energised and looking fabulously unique'.

Services
The team at Westbrook aim to bring beauty into the life of every client as soon as they walk through the salon door. They see each person as an individual and therefore unique, and work closely with every client to help them find their own unique style. Their mission is to ensure that every client leaves feeling fabulous, confident and exhilarated.
Mark and his highly trained team offer the 'Dry Carving' technique of cutting and styling hair. The American hair legend, John Sahag, pioneered the radical 'Dry Carving' technique in the 1990's and personally trained Mark in New York. This meeting of like-minded souls resulted in John Sahag making Mark his International Art Director.
Mark has selected an innovative team of individually minded, creative hair stylists from varied backgrounds. The one thing they have in common is a passion for what they do. Mark works closely with his team to create an artistic vision of hair design - he has trained each member of his team in the 'Dry Carving' hair cutting technique.

Mark is simply a maestro! I wanted a complete change of hair style and showed him a few photos with what I had in mind. The outcome was exactly what I wanted and more! I'm so pleased and would highly recommended his salon. Thanks Mark.

You get what you pay for. It’s more expensive than some of the other places but it’s a different experience and their prices reflect their customer experience. It’s true as I read below you can get a Blowdry for £40 at home with Blow which I do sometimes BUT do I really want to wash my own hair and sit on my dining table getting it done? Not always! So it’s not really fair to compare mobile to salon in my opinion. If you like a polished performance with personality this is the place to go and the hair wash and head massage is the best.

Excellent haircut and service from whole team. Slightly more expensive than a regular barbers cut but so much more value including wash and lovely head massage. Nick took the time to understand exactly what I wanted out of my haircut and delivered beyond expectation. Very cool vibe in the salon and friendly amazing people. Will always go here from now on as 1st place to really understand my hair and how to deal with it!!

I went to Mark Westbrook Salon in mid-january for the first time to get a complete change. I used to have long hair unfortunately lacking a hairdress ;) and wanted to have it cut short. I went to one of the operating hair dressers (unfortunately I forgot her name, but she had an Asian background). I had a collection of pictures of what I would like to get done and she took the time to look through all that and discuss in detail what she would recommend. In the end she spent literally 2 hours cutting my hair. Although we had different ideas about the result she tadjusted to all my requests of cutting

Not sure what other people consider cheap. With highlights and a haircut I have at times left Westbrook's over £200 poorer, BUT looking a million dollars, which is in the end what it's all about.
The staff are very friendly, they listen, they fuss over you, they spend time, and every single one is extremely good. I have never met a bad cutter in that salon and I have been going for more than five years.
Quite expensive - although a fraction of what your plumber would charge - and worth every penny to me

Mark Westbrook Hair is located close to Kew Garden's station tube at the far end of the district line, and it's worth making the trip out of town for this salon. A group of top-notch stylists do fabby things with hair (even if I do like mine to remain quite boring - shows they listen to you too, I suppose).
Mark is a character and a half, also check out Jay (great on curls according to friends), and Geo for his precision cuts.
Prices are at the high-end for a cut, at least £60-80 (Jan 2008). Colouring similar to any other decent salon.
You can also get your nails done as they
