I started my apprenticeship at a small bespoke dressmakers in Bold Street Liverpool in 1966 and I worked their for 2 and a half years. This experience set the foundation for the beginning of my career in the fashion industry. My next job was at a small factory work room making wedding gowns were I was taught to cut and block patterns.
Your wedding dress will no doubt be the most important dress you will ever wear that is why you need to ensure a professional seamstress takes care of your final touches. Although we offer a wide range of alteration services we specialise in Bridal alterations. We always give truthful and helpful advice alongside inexpensive and professional alterations and restyling.
When you first receive your bridesmaid dress, it's important to make sure it fits correctly. Sometimes it can be too long and may need shortening, the seam may need to be moved or the dress may need to be made bigger (let-out). If you are a flower girl, your dress may need to be made to order. Always do any bridesmaid dress alterations immediately or as soon as possible.
The Prom is such an important part of a young woman's life and choosing that special dress is a crucial part of helping make a memory that will last a lifetime. Once you have found what you are looking for it can often be the case that you require some slight prom dress alterations. We had ordered bridesmaids dresses from wed2be that we knew would have to be altered. However instead of arriving 2 weeks before the wedding, they arrived the week before. We contacted Ann and she was an absolute superstar. She saw us within days and had both dresses altered and ready 2 days before the wedding. Her handiwork was wonderful, she managed to alter an adult dress into a child’s dress. Thank you so much Ann, we would recommend her to everyone, the dresses looked beautiful.

Ann is very great and accommodating! I want an alteration with my gown which the saleslady from the bridal shop said that it would not be a problem. Other seamstress refused their service on me. At first it was nearly impossible with the type of gown I have. Fortunately, Ann accepted and made the alterations beyond expectations and finished it within a week! Highly recommended!!

Ann provided a truly exception service at very reasonable prices. I came to her with a custom made jacket that needed alterations and a wedding dress that needed the hem taken up and taking in. Her expertise was outstanding and she put me at total ease. She transformed my jacket into something truly beautiful and the dress fitted like an absolute dream. She went above and beyond doing the alterations to bustle the dress, providing me with 2 different options on the day. She worked so hard and kept me informed, my dress was ready in plenty of time for the wedding and her work was just stunning.

I had bought a dress from Wed2b at a size 16, hoping I'd be able to slim into it, and even though I lost 2 and a half stone, it was still 4 inches too small!! The girls at Wed2b made it seem like any seamstress could just put a panel on the back and it would be fine, but after seeing Ann she said that unfortunately this wouldn't be possible, but she could let the dress out and add some extra lace. However she expressed concern that she didn't have the same pattern or silver thread, but would try her best to make it all look the same. Well, I shouldn't have bothered worrying because she did an AMAZING
