Macfarlane and Smyth I had from September 2020-august 2021. During which time I had an excellent service. Heather was extremely responsive to any queries I had. Acted completely professionally if something was wrong with the property you could most certainly count on them to send someone to fix whatever issues you had. Furthemore, they also gave us our full deposit we treated them with respect and they did the same for us. So I would highly recommend them to anyone lucky enough to rent a property off them. Especially since this year we got a new place with a different agency and I sorely miss the

I have lived in one of their properties for 2 and a half years.
I can honestly say any issues that has came up with the property as soon as they are informed someone is straight out to correct the small matter.. for example the gutters needed cleaned and the washing machine that came with the house had broken down. I emailed heather and stanley and straight away Stanley was out the next day and a new washing machine was just put into the house today. The gutters where cleaned yesterday and there is a small matter of damp in the kitchen that is being fixed today ( it was my fault, i didnt know

Mr Smyth was extremely helpful taking us around some fantastic student flats and houses. Would definitely recommend looking at these properties as they're very high quality and at a great price! Thank you so much!!

Poor management. Had issues with a lack of notice given before house viewings on multiple occasions. Moving into our flat was a nightmare with much of the flat left in filthy state which we had to clean ourselves. No apology or explanation ever given for mistakes made.

Terrible. Unprofessional. Rude. Dishonest. The worst in Belfast. Moving into a property rented from this "company", we were met with more filth than one would find on the dance floor of limelight at 2 a.m. During the tenancy, multiple late notice or simply unannounced house visits left us wondering if we were in fact living in a house of ill repute. Moving out turned things up to 11. We were told the house was in good condition after a clean that would make Mr. Muscle blush, but then slapped in the face with an unfounded cleaning bill. Their "evidence" amounted to a few blurry snapshots, probably

Avoid. I've never had such an awful experience renting a property. Terribly rude and completely unprofessional people. Called during tenancy to advise of broken washing machine, they didn't get anyone to come repair it for 2 weeks. Called to advise that the lock on the building was broken and they refused to send someone round to repair it, endangering myself and other tenants(a break in occurred during this time) . Any follow up calls on the above were met with "sorry the person who deals with your property is on holiday".
Ensure you take plenty of pictures of your property before you leave as

Avoid, house in awful condition on the day we agreed to move in with rotten food and rubbish everywhere, it was uninhabitable. Also as we are leaving the house they have failed to let us know when the majority of the house viewings are happening and we have been unpleasantly surprised by people coming into our rooms when we are in bed or not expecting it.

Excellent commercial landlords have been hugely helpful to us as a small startup company and helped us to grow considerably.

Finally, a good estate agents actually exist. I was beginning to lose faith in the housing market (as we all have due to the recession) but more so because everyone I had come across was rude and grumpy and hated people who spoke to them.

But then myself and my girlfriend went here because she had to collect her key. And these people were lovely. They spoke to her, went through her form, give her their contact details and that very day she got keys to a new house!

Just like in the movies when a poor company makes a sale, they all walk around and high five each other. I imagine they did the same
