Vyn Johns - vintage, bridal, couture was borne out of friends' sheer frustration when they were unable to find a vintage wedding dress which fitted - without substantial re-working. And was in 'good-enough' condition for that special day - vintage textiles often discolour and can deteriorate considerably over time if not stored in the correct conditions.

I bought a second hand wedding dress and wanted to have it altered to change the neckline, back and sleeves. I took it to Vyn John and he transformed it into the most beautiful dress and to such a high quality. He completely understood what I was hoping for and helped me decide how to change it. He also charged a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Vyn was absolutely fab. He altered my dress and my partners suit, super quick and accommodating and fit us in. Couldnt recommend him enough! With My original dress he was honest and concerned the fabric was too thin and altering it would risk ruining the dress and told me to return if i got another dress and needed anything doing to it - he said he’d fit me in. So i did and he did! Sorting my new dress out. Im so glad he was honest and didnt risk it, so glad with the outcome. Hes fab!
