J.S. Dunlop Ltd. was formed by John Dunlop in 1969 to carry out mainly civil engineering works. Over the years the company moved focus from civil engineering into building works, specialising in commercial refurbishment and restoration. John Dunlop retired in 2001 and the company is now managed by his son, Wallace, who has been involved with the company since 1986.
We are continually improving our methods of repair and construction. To achieve this, all our operatives receive Health & Safety and vocational training in order to provide our clients with the highest possible standards of workmanship.

J.S. Dunlop Ltd, based in Ballymoney, Northern Ireland, are specialists in commercial refurbishment and restoration. Our permanent workforce of over 20 have completed several construction projects across Northern Ireland, particularly in Co. Antrim and Co. Londonderry. The range of services we provide include projects for Education, Health and Business clients, restoration of listed buildings and industrial new builds/alterations.
JS Dunlop Ltd. offer a range of general building, repair and construction services in addition to our more specialised markets. This was our first project for the Irish Landmark Trust, a charitable organization who acquires historic properties in need of repair, restore and offer these properties as unique holiday accommodation for rent. The cottage was built as a hunting lodge for the local estate however fell in to dereliction and was in danger of collapse.
The works at Ballee Community School involved the replacement of floor coverings, wall finishes, ceilings and repairs to the existing building fabric together with the co-ordination of mechanical and electrical contractors. All works were carried out within a busy working school. The project also saw the upgrade of the existing 10no changing rooms and toilets in the school to provide modern, up-to-date facilities.
