Very close to the station
Clean, no face to face check in, quiet, only thing I would say is its very small which is fine for a few nights but I wouldn't spend too long in it
Other than that good experience

Clean, quiet, 10 minute drive to the ferries. Free WiFi and a kitchenette, good price and a personal code to open doors - amazing!

No shower gel, hitters where not working, very uncomfortable bed and not precisely cleaned as it was a little dusty. Moreover one dirty towel was forgotten in the room. Everytime somebody was leaving their room we felt they were entering in ours and we could hear conversations from other rooms.

Owner is incredibly unfriendly and doesn’t know how to treat customers!
So apparently this guest house doesn’t allow children or at least babies which wasn’t quite obvious when booking. We co-sleep with our 5-month-old so we‘d always just book a normal double room when traveling and never had problems.
About 30 minutes after self check-in the landlord knocked at our door and asked us to leave quite impolitely. In his words: „The child has to leave!“ when asking how that’s supposed to work with a baby he just said „Well, you need to figure something out. The child has to leave

I am afraid I cannot recommend the hotel. Our room was very small and therefore we had to sleep with the window open because otherwise you hardly had enough oxygen. The hotel is located on a very busy street and the pub across the street has very loud music until late at night. Therefore, sleep was out of the question. The bed was so soft that it gave me back pain and it is definitely too small for two people. There was only one duvet and the owner wanted to charge 25 pounds for a second duvet. The bathroom sink had no drinking water (!) and you had to go to the kitchen to get drinking water. I

Often use it for a single night before joining the ship. The beds could have been a bit more comfortable, but other than that ideal place right next to the train station.

This guesthouse is operated by machines. We were late to check-in by half an hour. The machine did not accept our code, we could not enter. We called the service number they provided to find a human to help us, but there was not any. We were left to sleep in the street. If you want to deal with humans, not machines, book another place.
