Amy entered the hairdressing industry on leaving school and worked at a number of salons during her initial training period. She started work at Aldridge Hair Design Ltd in 2001where she continued her training to a high standard as a ladies stylist and barber. Amy completed Level 3 Hairdressing NVQin 2003.
Whilst working towards her Level 3 qualification, she also completed the Level 3 Diploma in Ladies Hairdressing, achieving Distinction status and winning Student of the Year Award for her performance and achievement. She has since completed advanced level qualifications in hairdressing training and assessing.
