The partnership of Stevenson and Marshall was founded in 1888 and we have been operating from our office in East Port, Dunfermline since 1931. A successful partnership of traditional values and modern attitudes, we strive to maintain high standards, to continue to move with the times and to provide the service that our clients, old and new, require.
Many of our clients and their families have been with us for many years, and we are truly family solicitors. A full-service law firm, we have a team of solicitors on hand to assist with property matters, lifetime legal, family law, business law and court work.

We are quite literally buzzing here at the Office with our very own sponsored Beehive starting to take shape. Here's why we think it's important with a few words from Kin Apiary. We'll be keeping you posted with Bee News regularly. There's no sting in this tale, just a helping hand for nature. Our bees are in decline.
You may have seen the Scottish government's advertising campaign about changes in Scotland's law regarding organ donation or perhaps you have recently received a leaflet through your door about this. Under this new law, the presumption of consent only applies where you have not previously opted-out.
With our own office closed to the public as well as the Scottish Court Service, the Office of the Public Guardian and Registers of Scotland all effectively closed down it would be fair to assume that the lockdown period would have been a quiet time for our team. However, that has definitely not been the case and it has been a very busy period for us over the last few months.
This is the tenth annual awareness week designed to encourage more people to "pass on something wonderful" by leaving a gift to charity when making a Will. Research shows that British people left an incredible 2.85 billion to charity via gifts in Wills in 2017. This staggering figure is the equivalent of the money raised from 39 Red Nose Days.

I highly recommend Stevenson and Marshall. I've recently bought and sold properties which can be a very stressful time for many. I found their estate agency team to be very professional, informed and friendly. After every viewing, I was contacted regularly with an update, even if there was no feedback for the viewer.
Once my purchase and sale was passed to the conveyancing team I also found their staff to very good and felt confident that a good job was being done and I was important to them. This is something I've found with dealing with other firms that this is quite often not the case.
