The hotel's 53 en-suite bedrooms each have colour satellite TV, radio, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone. Iron and ironing board also available on request. It's ok...it's old and rather shabby, doors didn't feel safe! Staff were very polite and accomodating. It's conveniently placed for use of the A12, Stansted and surrounding area. That's about it for positives I'm afraid. Stains on the upholstery, shower was useless, windows were drafty, old, smelly rooms...it's cheap but not very cheerful I'm afraid, it had a sad feel about it, like retired holiday chalets awaiting demolition.

Nice comfy bed, shower wasn't great, underpowered and either boiling hot or freezing cold. One very nice lady on reception, who also served behind the bar, and also served food in the restaurant all by herself! However dodgy beer made me ill, I had 2 pints from the bar before bed and ended up being very sick! Pleasant staff well 1 that I encountered doing every job! Would've been decent overnight stop if the beer pipes were clean.

Shower was freezing cold then boiling hot with no in between. Almost took the skin off my back.
It’s just desperate for some investment and elbow grease.
Staff were friendly and accommodating
Given the choice id stay somewhere else but I couldn’t find any other rooms.
